problems with buttons after CA2008 Issue 08 installation

Hi,

after installing the annuals latest issue my buttons and menus for
selecting add-ons, symbol catalogs or drawing tools ceased to work. I
have already tried re-running the installation and the latest patch. I
started menuconfig.exe, but nothing fixed it.

I can still open symbol catalogs the "hard way" using the open symbol catalog button right above my current catalog. But this is as far at it will go.


Btw, I am running CC3.20 with all add-ons including SM:Cities on a
Windows XP SP3 machine.

Any suggestions?

    You'll probably need to send ProFantasy a tech support request for this one, but here is a couple of things you might wish to check out

    1. Your Master Filter Settings (SYMICONFOPT command). Make sure that it contains the correct filters. Normally, for CC3 in overland mode, you should at least have the "CC3" filter there (and several more). If you are in Dungeon Designer mode, you should have the "DD3 Color" Filter
    2. The macro file, fcw32.mac. It should be in the main CC3 directory, and should be abut 20-30 KB in size.

    SYMICONFOPT tells me 4 filters are active, while looking at the "Blood God`s Altar" map from the annuals issue.

    The macro file is there and has 24kb.


    Probably you are right, this one is for tech support. :(
