I bought CC3 a couple of weeks back and finally feel confident to introduce myself on the forums. And thus, the obligatory first map post comes this way. ;)

This isn't the first map I created, but the first that is (IMO) good enough to be presentable. It still is a work in progress, but I figured before spending another couple of evenings on it, I might better get feedback now and maybe some advice if I made glaring mistakes.

The original map was smaller, but I dedcided to resize the map, which was surprisingly simple and worked quite well, once the trace tool did what I wanted. My current plan is to finish the area that is currently empty, maybe add another smaller island to the south-east and some ice in the north / north-east.

The image should link to a larger view, if I got my HTML right. ;)

Very nice! I like the island. Are the sheet effects turned on? If they are, they seem scaled for a much smaller map.

I scaled them for a zoomed-in view (about 100-120% on the large image), but you are right. With increased radii on the blur and glow effects it looks much smoother overall.

    Like this map.

At this point no real suggestions.

The Wuste Lem (wasteland?) looks a bit square to me. Maybe it's the effect of the sheet effects being scaled, but if the dividing line is that sharp, then I'd fractalise the edges of it.
