import a .jpg into CC3?

I cannot find a conversation about this in the boards, but I would like to know. Is it possible to import a .jpg or a .gif or any other format into CC3? I have an outline of the world I would like to use as map or map background to work with...

Note that you cannot insert jpg or gif images though, but you can insert other formats, like bmp and png, using this method.
