I've posted 2 new videos on my YouTube channel, these ones relating to importing your own images as symbol catalogs.

Symbols - Part 1: Finding and Preparing Images
Symbols - Part 2: Creating a Symbol Catalog

Please let me know if you find videos like these useful, and what you would like to see in the future.

Quenten, the cat picks his own moments to appear. The cat cannot be controlled.

    Ayup indeed.

Dogs live for us -- cats deign to allow us to live with them from time to time.
  2.
    Thanks!

Absolutely. Cats share our domiciles on their terms. And show and allow affection only when it suits them! In our house, this is generally when you're trying to do something, like draw a map or go to sleep!

I like both but prefer dogs. Though cats are definitely quieter. Ours is a Russian Blue, strictly an indoor cat, that we 'adopted' from our son after the birth of our first grandson...

In Australia we have a serious feral cat problem - they are now officially regarded as the second most important pest after the rabbit here. And our next door neighbour's cat roams and kills a lot of native bird life. so cats are not as popular here as in USA and Europe where there is a long established balance.

A fellow Aussie! I'm in Penrith, NSW you?

That's another reason we keep ours inside, as you say Quenten, the cats don't need to be feral to be an issue. Responsible ownership goes a long way to negating some of these issues.

Flinders Island, off ne coast of Tassie. Feral cats a real problem here. Unfortunately, most cat owners not as responsible as you.

Well, I certainly won't be popping in for a cuppa! Nice area down there, too cold for our liking though. We visited Tassie itself in 2006 and had a blast.

Nice map BTW. Interesting to see an essentially fantasy mapping program do a real world map...

Great videos! I would love to see more advanced stuff like this. I always wondered why there were multiple versions of the same symbol when I opened the catalogues. Now I know :)
