Can't put Peak in front of other mountains

Hello,

I'm completely new to this game and I'm trying to make my first map. I've run into a problem when making a mountain range. I want to place a Great Peak in front of some other mountains using the "place in front" tool, but the other mountains keep being put in front instead.
I have checked the sheets, and all mountains are on the same sheet named "Mountains", so that's not the issue either.

How can I make this great peak appear in front of the other mountains?

Check the sheets. The Great Peak is probably not on the same sheet as the other mountains. You can check it with Info -> List, and you can move it with Change Properties

I tried that, they are both on the sheet "MOUNTAINS".

On the symbols menu, have you tried 'sort symbols in map' ?

On my cell phone.

I tried sort symbols in map, it didn't work either.

Here is the map file, the mountains are in the upper left corner.

It's the sheets. Your great peak symbol is on the LAND sheet, while the rest are on the SYMBOLS sheet. Just move it to the correct sheet, and both Move to front and sort symbols should work

Thank you that worked! For some reason, When I select the peak with the Change Properties tool, it still says it's on the Land sheet, and it says the same for other mountains, so that confused me.

Change properties doesn't show the current properties of the entities, it always shows the currently default properties (see status bar). This can be a bit confusing in the beginning, but it is very helpful, especially combined with the keep command, as you can easily use properties form other entities, or use the change properties many times in a row without having to change all these dropdowns every time. It is also difficult showing the current one, because change properties will often be used on multiple entities at the same time which have different properties.

OK, that is good to know, I understand it better now. I also know now why I didn't notice the different sheets when using the list tool, I took the Mountains layer to be the sheet name. I love this tool and it creates beautiful maps, but there is quite a learning curve.
